A stronger game industry in the region with more game studios, higher turnover, more employees and more equality witch will lead to creation of a number of international game successes.
Innovation Game 2.0 is a continuation of the first project: Innovation Game. It is a cooperation project between Skellefteå Science City (owner), Luleå Business Region, Piteå Science Park and Boden Utveckling as partners. The overall goal of the project is to support a more diversified labor market and business sector in northern Sweden, by developing and industry that is attractive and inclusive and to strengthen the gaming industry in the region.
The project has also set a number of sub-goals: that use increased visibility, increased gaming competence in innovations and the education system, more gaming innovations, more investments and more meeting places. These sub-goals will be achieved with activities such as local meeting places such as Jams and creative boxes, arranging and participation of major events and business development for SMEs.

The project was funded by Skellefteå, Piteå and Boden municipality, Region Norrbotten and Region Västerbotten as well as the European Regional Development Fund.
Project owner is Science City Skellefteå AB and procured contractor for project management as well as implementation is being done by Creative Crowd AB.
